Description
“The Magnelab ACT-0036 is split-core class 2 transformer. It transforms the AC current input of between 200 and 600 Amps to an output of 5 Amp. An AC current sensor like this one can easily be installed on existing electrical wiring. This is achieved by simply snapping it around the already installed conductor. The ACT-0036 is fitted with a self-locking mechanism for ease of use. It is often used in switch gears, power meters, general sets, distributed measurement systems and control panels.
The ACT-0036 has several features. These include a rated input ranging up to 600 Amp and an output at rated current of 5 Amp. It has a Class 3 accuracy for up to 2.5 VA. The accuracy is at 5% to 120% of rated current. It also has a 6.5Vp bipolar protection level and a frequency range of between 50 Hz and 60 Hz. The current transformer comes with 2 X M3 screw terminals and works on system voltage that is 720 V, Category II or Category III at 600 V AC. The device is fully CE and RoHS compliant as well as being UL recognized and comes with a full warranty.
An alternative current transformer that has a different current range is the ACT-0024-100/1. The ACT-0024-100/1 AC Split-Core Current Sensor has an output current of 1 Amp and has a 100 Amp rating. It has Class 3 accuracy up to 1.5 VA. It features the same accuracy at the same hertz rating as the Magnelab ACT-0036 and is similarly registered and certified, as well as coming with the same 2 X M3 screw terminals for easy attachment.”
